Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our website and services.

Last updated: 15 October 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Apex Horizons Institute website at apexhorizons.institute and purchases made through it.

Apex Horizons Institute is a trading name of The Elysium Project Initiative, a company registered in Scotland under company number SC855191.

Our business address is:

The Elysium Project Initiative
5 South Charlotte Street
Edinburgh
EH2 4AN
United Kingdom

Email: Support@ApexHorizons.Institute

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

2. Apex Horizons Institute

Apex Horizons Institute develops educational and publishing material centred on the Mastery framework and related areas of learning.

Products and services offered through the website may include:

  • printed books;
  • ebooks and other digital publications;
  • audiobooks;
  • online courses;
  • lectures;
  • downloadable educational resources; and
  • other educational products or services introduced from time to time.

Not all of these products or formats will necessarily be available at all times.

3. Website Use

You may use this website for lawful personal and commercial browsing purposes.

You must not knowingly:

  • interfere with the operation or security of the website;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
  • introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material;
  • use automated methods to reproduce or systematically extract protected content without permission;
  • impersonate another person;
  • misuse customer accounts or purchasing systems; or
  • use the website in a way that infringes the rights of The Elysium Project Initiative or another person.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, customers, our intellectual property or our legal rights.

4. Product Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications, prices and availability are accurate.

Images are illustrative. Printed products may show minor differences in colour, paper, binding, dimensions, print positioning or other manufacturing characteristics.

Product pages will provide the main characteristics of each product where relevant, including format and other important purchasing information.

Minor corrections, improvements or changes may be made to products where these do not materially reduce what the customer has purchased.

5. Prices

Prices are displayed in the currency stated on the website.

Any delivery charges or other applicable charges will be shown before an order is completed.

Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect an order that has already been accepted.

If an obvious pricing or listing error occurs, we may contact you before fulfilling the order. Where necessary, we may cancel the affected order and refund any payment already received.

For deliveries outside the United Kingdom, local taxes, customs charges or import duties may apply. Unless expressly collected by us at checkout, these are the responsibility of the recipient.

6. Placing an Order

When you submit an order through our website, you are offering to purchase the products contained in that order.

An automated acknowledgement that we have received your order does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.

Unless we tell you otherwise, we accept an order when we begin fulfilling it, such as by dispatching physical goods or making purchased digital content available.

We may decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • a product is unavailable;
  • payment cannot be authorised;
  • incorrect pricing or product information has been displayed;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse;
  • the delivery destination cannot be served; or
  • fulfilling the order would be unlawful.

If payment has already been taken for an order that we cancel, the relevant amount will be refunded.

7. Payment

Payment must be made using a method offered during checkout.

Payment transactions may be processed by specialist third-party payment providers. Their own terms and privacy practices may also apply to their processing of payment information.

Where card payments are handled directly by an external payment processor, Apex Horizons Institute does not receive the customer’s complete payment-card details.

8. Physical Books and Other Goods

hysical products may be manufactured, printed, packaged or dispatched by specialist third-party fulfilment providers acting on our behalf.

We will provide delivery information at or before checkout where appropriate.

Unless another delivery period has been agreed, consumer goods purchased at a distance are generally required to be delivered within 30 days. GOV.UK

Delivery estimates are estimates unless we expressly state that a particular date is guaranteed.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

If an order cannot be delivered because the address supplied was materially incorrect or incomplete, reasonable additional delivery costs may be required before redispatch.

For consumer orders, responsibility for accidental loss or damage generally passes when the goods come into your physical possession or that of a person you nominate to receive them.

9. Changing Your Mind About Physical Goods

UK consumers purchasing physical goods online normally have a statutory right to cancel without giving a reason.

For most physical goods, the cancellation period ends 14 days after the goods come into your possession, or into the possession of a person nominated by you other than the carrier. Special rules apply where a single order is delivered in separate parts. Legislation.gov.uk

To exercise this right, you must clearly inform us that you wish to cancel.

Contact:

Support@ApexHorizons.Institute

Our separate Returns & Refunds Policy explains how returns and reimbursements are handled.

10. Condition of Returned Goods

You may handle physical goods to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in broadly the same way that you could inspect goods in a shop.

Where handling goes beyond what is reasonably necessary and reduces the value of an item, we may make a lawful deduction reflecting that reduction in value. Legislation.gov.uk

This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.

11. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Goods must meet the standards required by applicable consumer law.

If an item is faulty, damaged, materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet your statutory rights, please contact us at:

Support@ApexHorizons.Institute

Include your order details and a description of the problem. We may request photographs where they would reasonably help us identify damage or a manufacturing issue.

Depending on the circumstances, applicable remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Change-of-mind rights and rights relating to faulty products are separate. Statutory rights cannot be removed by these Terms.

12. Ebooks, Audiobooks and Other Digital Content

Digital content may include ebooks, audiobooks, downloadable publications and other electronically supplied materials.

Where you request immediate access to digital content during the statutory cancellation period, we may require you to:

  1. expressly consent to supply beginning immediately; and
  2. acknowledge that you will lose your statutory right to cancel once supply begins.

Where both requirements have been satisfied and supply has begun, the normal 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right will cease to apply to that digital content. Legislation.gov.uk

Confirmation of that consent and acknowledgement should also be provided as part of the contract confirmation. Legislation.gov.uk

This does not remove your rights where digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to conform to the contract.

Under the Consumer Rights Act, remedies for non-conforming digital content can include repair or replacement and, where appropriate, a price reduction which may amount to a full refund.

13. Digital Licences

Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchasing digital content gives you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access and use that content for your own lawful purposes.

Purchasing digital content does not transfer copyright or ownership of the underlying work.

You must not, without permission:

  • redistribute digital files;
  • share access credentials or download links;
  • upload purchased content for public access;
  • reproduce substantial portions for commercial purposes;
  • resell digital copies; or
  • otherwise exploit the content in a manner inconsistent with copyright law or the licence supplied.

Rights granted by law, including applicable copyright exceptions, are not affected.

14. Online Courses

Where online courses are offered, the relevant product page will describe the course content, access arrangements and any applicable access period.

Courses are educational products. Unless expressly stated otherwise, purchasing or completing a course does not provide an accredited academic qualification, professional licence or regulated certification.

Courses do not guarantee any particular academic, professional, financial or personal outcome.

Depending on how a particular course is supplied, it may constitute digital content, a service, or a combination of both. Relevant cancellation information will be provided before purchase.

Where a service is expressly requested to begin during a statutory cancellation period, special rules may apply to payment for the part already performed and to loss of the cancellation right once the service has been fully performed.

15. Lectures and Other Educational Content

Lectures and other educational material may be offered as recordings, live services, downloads or combinations of these formats.

Any specific conditions concerning dates, access periods, recordings or attendance will be stated on the relevant product page.

16. Customer Accounts

You may be able to create an account to manage orders, downloads, course access or other services.

You are responsible for taking reasonable care of your account credentials.

You must not intentionally provide another person with access to paid digital content through your account unless the relevant product expressly permits shared access.

Please contact us if you believe that your account has been compromised.

We may temporarily restrict an account where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or investigation of serious misuse.

17. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the website and the books, text, illustrations, designs, educational frameworks, course materials, videos, audio, graphics and other original materials made available through Apex Horizons Institute are protected by intellectual-property rights.

Those rights are owned by The Elysium Project Initiative, its licensors or other identified rights holders.

Purchasing a physical book transfers ownership of that physical copy. It does not transfer copyright in the work.

No material may be reproduced, distributed, republished or commercially exploited without permission except where permitted by applicable law.

18. Educational Purpose

Apex Horizons Institute produces educational material intended to encourage learning, understanding, reflection and practical application.

Material published through Apex Horizons Institute does not constitute individual medical, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice.

Readers remain responsible for considering their own circumstances and obtaining appropriately qualified professional advice where necessary.

Educational frameworks, examples and exercises do not guarantee particular results.

19. Reviews and Contributions

Where customers are able to submit reviews, comments or other material, submitted content must not be unlawful, threatening, defamatory, deliberately misleading, infringing or abusive.

You retain ownership of original material you submit, but grant us a non-exclusive right to host, reproduce and display that material for purposes connected with the feature through which it was submitted.

We may moderate or remove contributions where reasonably necessary.

20. Third-Party Services

We may use specialist third parties for functions including:

  • payment processing;
  • printing and fulfilment;
  • delivery;
  • ebook and audiobook distribution;
  • hosting;
  • email communications;
  • website security;
  • analytics; and
  • other technical services.

Use of some third-party services may also be subject to their own terms or privacy notices.

Links to independent third-party websites do not mean that we control or endorse all content available through those websites.

21. Website Availability

We aim to keep the website available and functioning correctly, but continuous or uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, security, upgrades or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

22. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

Products sold to consumers are intended primarily for personal use unless expressly stated otherwise. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible under a consumer contract for purely commercial losses such as loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity.

Nothing in this section affects statutory consumer rights.

23. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control.

These may include serious disruption to postal or carrier networks, hosting infrastructure, communications networks, payment systems, utilities or other services required to fulfil an order.

Where an order is affected, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.

24. Privacy and Cookies

Our processing of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy.

Where consent is required for non-essential cookies, those technologies will be subject to the choices available through our cookie-consent system.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms where necessary to reflect changes to our products, website, business or legal obligations.

Changes will not retrospectively alter the terms of a contract already formed unless the change is required by law or expressly agreed.

The current version and revision date will be displayed on this page.

26. Complaints

If you have a problem with an order or service, please contact us first at:

Support@ApexHorizons.Institute

We will aim to investigate complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.

27. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Scots law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory rights you may have under the law applicable to you or any right you may have to bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law.
